Update June 25, 2020 -

Hello Members and Friends:

Please be advised that all Lodge-based activities and rentals have been CANCELLED until further notice due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

We have established a COVID-19 committee that meets regularly to monitor the situation and to work on developing a protocol based on the latest Provincial Government standards and information.  This may allow us to offer some access to activities and events in the near future.

This website will be updated when specific activities resume.  Please check back periodically for new information.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Fraternally,

Lisa Tandberg
President, Eidsvold Lodge

Update July 10/20 -

The Eidsvold Walking Club has resumed outdoor activities.    Ten walkers came out on Saturday, July 4th for a walk in Oak Bay. This was our first walk since COVID shut us down in March. We all enjoyed the weather, the views and the friendship. Following the walk we had a nice picnic in Windsor Park.  They will again meet on the first Saturday of the month.  Next walk will be August 1st.

The Annual Corn Roast normally held in August has been cancelled.

Eidsvold Bursaries - Due to the financial pressure that the pandemic has placed on our lodge, we are regretfully suspending this program for 2020.  There are still a number of grants and bursaries available through the Sons of Norway Foundation in Canada.  The deadline for applications is August 31, 2020.  For further information on these go to; http://www.sonfic.ca/index.php/apply-for-funding

Update July 15/20 -

We now have an account with the Bottle Depot here in Victoria.  Anyone can make a donation to help out at the lodge simply by returning your recyclable cans and bottles there, and requesting that they be credited to the Sons of Norway Victoria account. Below are the details;

Charitable Account for Sons of Norway Victoria includes the 4261 Glanford Ave, 655 Queens Ave, 3961 Quadra St Bottle Depots.

August 8/20  We have just set up an account with the Sidney Return It Depot on Galaran Road for those of you in the North and Central Saanich areas who wish to donate your empties to the lodge.  The account name is "Sons of Norway".

How to donate on these accounts:

Please advise the cashiers at the beginning of the transaction that you would like to donate the bottles onto our account.

Please note: Only reference this account by account name and not by any account numbers that may be found on some of the account transaction receipts. Each depot will have a different account number for your account.

Thank you for your donation.

Update August 24/20

We have finalized our COVID-19 protocol for a gradual reopening of some activities in the near future (still to be determined).  It can be found HERE.
